I have seen many …
I have seen many thriving small online business just collapse, after having paypal as their primary payment as paypal. One belonging to a friend of mine selling hosting (specializing in virtual private servers) paypal just one day froze his account, no warning and for no reason he had NO fraudulent transactions not one, his business just halted for 2 months. He lost almost all his clients some threatening to sue he had to cut back on his servers and few weeks later closed it because of that.

I know enough …
I know enough people who have been conned by paypal, its not the staff that are conning you they are just doing their job, but I lost $250 that I earnt via web design and paypal just limited my account one day and refused to let me prove my identity. I tried for over a year to get my money back but now they just ignore my mail and I dont want to have to wait ages to speak to a phone operator who will just tell me the exact same useless thing.

Paypal doesnt stop …
Paypal doesnt stop you from fraud at all, with paypal being a fraud company itself conning 1 in every 100 members, me unluckily being one of them. Also paypal does not protect you from scammers who will use your paypal account to scam people or even make purchases from shops online the same way crooks use credit cards, the only way paypal is safer than credit cards is because no one has access to your logins, whereas shops will have your card details on the shop database after purchasing.

The US has a similar level of customer over-indebtedness to the UK, saw profit per card of $47. The worst place for credit card profitability was China where losses per card were $4.

If you sell stuff online.. Accept Cash or paypal only.
If you buy stuff online.. Use Paypal only.
Remember, if it sounds too good
to be true, it probably is! NEVER(ever) give out your personal
information to strangers online or offline! Do not click on a link embedded within any potentially suspicious email. Always be on
