One Response to “what first levell would you advice me to have a credit history,i have just gotten a ssn card.?”
A few things:
If your parents have good credit history, they can make you an authorized user on one of their perfect cards and give you instant credit history.
Mostly, your friend is right. Get a department store card, make small purchases and pay your bill early or on time every month. Keeping a small small balance is OK too.
Be sure to ALWAYS make your payments on time. It takes 7 years to dig yourself out of bad credit mistakes. Be careful and don't overspend yourself. References :
